Recently we had a fun date night at ICON Park and explored an attraction we have been curious about for a little while: The Museum of Illusions Orlando. (Fun fact: this museum actually just celebrated it’s one year anniversary this month!). After a fun dinner we went to explore the mind bending world of Illusions and made sure to grab plenty of fun pictures too. Read on to learn more about this fun attraction in the heart of I-Drive’s entertainment offerings…
About Museum of Illusions Orlando
The original Museum of Illusions started as a unique project in Croatia in 2015. The interactive, immersive and fun experience blends education with entertainment in the form of mind bending exhibits. The popular attraction is fun for all ages and has over 30 locations around the globe. The Orlando location opened it’s doors one year ago in February of 2021 and has been delighting visitors with visual tricks and amusing exhibits that are also the perfect backdrop for some amazing pictures!
Location
The Museum of Illusions Orlando is located right off off International Drive at ICON Park. This popular area offers plenty of fun attractions, dining, and shopping to compliment your museum visit. If looking at the main Wheel building it is directly to the right. (It is also good to note that parking at ICON Park is free.)

Our Visit to the Museum
Last weekend we met up with our friends Melyssa and Daniel (from @orlandoeatsout) for a fun double date at ICON Park. The four of us were excited to spend some time together and check out the Museum of Illusions. Some areas within the attraction feel truly museum-like with exhibits on pedestals and mounted on the wall with explanations. It also feels like a fun photo studio with many different rooms and displays. Whether you are looking at illusion art on the wall or walking through a spinning room there is plenty of oohs and ahhs to be had. There are many different installations and rooms to discover and we took our time exploring each one letting our minds play tricks on us.
Here is a peek into the areas that are more traditional exhibits…
And here is a collection of some of our favorite photos during our visit…
We were glad to have some guides on hand to help us figure out how to capture the best shots. There was certainly a variety of different tricks and funny photo opps.
Final Thoughts
Overall we were really impressed with the Museum of Illusions Orlando. The exhibit design is really well done with beautiful attention to detail. We loved that it was a mix of exhibits and picture opportunities. It was super fun with a healthy does of science based education. We can see where this is a blast for all ages from families with kids to older groups. We found this to be a fun activity to add on to date night, and going with friends made for more picture taking fun. The price seems very fair for the amount of time we spent here, especially if packaged with other attractions for additional savings. We think the Museum was a great addition to ICON Park and would certainly go back. Thank you Museum of Illusions Orlando for having us come visit!
