It is time for another Disney Friends Blog Hop! The theme for this month is “Summer”. We weren’t super sure what to write about as we had never actually been to Walt Disney World during the summer season (hard to believe right?). But that fact has recently changed. Since we moved to the Orlando area, it was a no brainer for us to become Disney Annual Pass (AP) holders. We decided to celebrate acquiring those little yellow cards by taking on a little bit of a crazy challenge: hitting all four parks in one day….in the middle of summer. Read on to hear about our long day and for a few of our tips for surviving the heat… (Also make sure to check below for a list of other fun Disney blogs in this hop to go check out!)

So in the middle of our crazy move we decided to add on one more activity that we couldn’t resist. Andrew noticed one of our favorite bands would be in Orlando the same weekend we would be moving to the area. The venue they were playing at? House of Blues in Disney Springs. We had always seen House of Blues at the West end of the shopping district, but neither of us had actually been over to check it out. This sounded like the perfect opportunity to see what this intimate venue was all about. Read on to hear about our fun night out…

We didn’t quite know what to expect, but had heard it was award-winning and figured it would certainly have some magical moments, given the source material. Earlier this week we were very excited to attend the opening night of “Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment” in our home town of Baltimore, MD. This wasn’t our first time at a Disney On Ice show but it had been quite awhile. We have found that most people who talk about these shows see them as total kid events and wouldn’t think to go. ABOUT THE SHOW
Directed by visionary Tony®-winner Diane Paulus and based on the critically-acclaimed Academy Award® winning film, FINDING NEVERLAND tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a little pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes a monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland, where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever. The magic of Barrie’s classic tale springs spectacularly to life in this heartwarming theatrical event.
